Dear Friends,
We are very pleased to announce the roll-out of the new Wudang Tao Community Portal beginning November 1st, 2009. The Community Portal will provide a venue for weekly live lectures and will be growing into an online library of Taoist philosophy, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, lifestyle, history, legends, and healing information and provide access to online courses. The Portal will also host a Members' Forum in which you can discuss topics of interest with other members.

The November schedule of Live Lectures is:

o       Wednesday November 4: Master Within Lecture Series Introduction
o       Tuesday November 10: The Story of the 8 Immortals
o       Wednesday November 18:  Diet and Nutrition for a Healthy Life
o       Wednesday November 25: Introduction to the Tao Te Ching (from a Philosophical perspective rather than alchemical perspective)

The December schedule of Live Lectures is:

o       Wednesday December 2:  Master Within Lecture Series #2
o       Wednesday December 9:  The Tao Te Ching Chapter 1
o       Wednesday December 16:  Nourishing Life for Winter (Diet and Lifestyle)
o       Wednesday December 23:  Master Within Lecture Series #3

There will not be a lecture on December 30th.

The Live Lectures will be at 9:30 pm Eastern time. The price for membership to the Community Portal will initially be $30 per month, which includes the weekly live lectures, access to the Community Taoist Library and the Community Members' Forum. Over time we plan to add additional areas of specialized interest which will include more detailed and in-depth information about Tai Chi, Qi Gong Healing and Internal Alchemy. These special areas will have subject specific articles, their own forums and specialized Live Lectures and will be designed for the advanced students and practitioners in those areas.

We are very excited about launching this online library and lecture venue and making it available to the community. We plan to add new articles and new materials as well as to develop new online courses every month. Your participation in the Portal will make it a vibrant, growing and informative place to be!

Registration will begin on November 1st and will be handled exclusively through the Portal. We will send out an email on November 1st which will give you the link to the portal and instructions for registration.

We look forward to seeing you online and to your participation in the Wudang Tao Community Portal!
